The Driving Change Partnership is a collaboration between this Dealer, Climate Clean and you to combat the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that are released through the tailpipes of our cars. Our automobiles are generally the single biggest contributor to our carbon footprints. This dealer is committed to making sure every car they sell is carbon neutral for a pre-determined number of miles as well as osetting its own carbon footprint.

How does the program work?

Each car model produces a unique amount of emissions. By partnering with Climate Clean, we are able to calculate an individual vehicle's emission signature based upon EPA measurements and Climate Clean's own methodology, which is tied to the vehicle identification number (VIN), and then balance it with custom-blended Intelligent Offsets.

What is a carbon (CO2) offset?

A carbon offset is a reduction in emissions around the world on your behalf in order to reduce your own carbon footprint. Offsets are generated at emission-reducing projects that would not have been built without the money generated from offset sales. The projects in our portfolio of Intelligent Offsets represent reductions in all GHGs, not just in CO2.

What is an Intelligent Offset?

Climate Clean's Intelligent Offsets are individually tailored to match the emission signature of your vehicle in order to ensure the most accurate offset possible. An Intelligent Offset balances the impact of each gas emitted by your vehicle with a corresponding offset.

How do offsets help the environment?

Even though it is challenging to find cars that don't have emissions, you can, through offsets, reduce an equivalent amount of emissions elsewhere in the world. How does this benefit my part of the world, you might ask? Unlike some pollutants, GHGs are not static, rather they are circulated throughout Earth's atmosphere; thus a reduction anywhere benefits the entire world.

What can you do?

We have already provided offsets for a predetermined number of miles and are offering you the ability to be a Driver of Change - that is to drive CO2 neutral by offsetting as many additional miles as you want! You can also buy offsets for other cars you own by simply bringing in the VIN and choosing the number of miles you want to offset.

How do I verify that I am Driving Neutral?

Climate Clean Vehicles can be quickly recognized by the Climate Clean window cling. In addition to this, each Climate Clean Vehicle is given a unique certificate detailing the purchase. Each time an Intelligent Offset is applied to the emission signature of a vehicle, Climate Clean retires that offset with a secure registry, TZ1. Retirement ensures that an offset is permanently removed from the environment and will never be used to balance another CO2 footprint.
